More bread. I’m also in the design process of a few new furniture pieces for my home. I’m feeling stalled and divided. I was supposed to finish a painting for the crossing arts alliance and I did not finish the work. I ran into the same thing that I always run into, I wanted it to be a masterpiece. It’s not. It’s not finished. I don’t want to display or lose control of an unfinished ugly piece of art. It’s not a bad piece. But it’s not good either. However, now that I see all the pieces, I am so bummed I didn’t take part. That was the project in the way of progress this time. Sometimes, it’s clear to me what project is most important, but I don’t feel I have what I need to complete it. That might be knowledge, material, a specific part, time or the plan. In this case. It was a mixture of knowledge and a plan.

I needed to decide how to give the water half a little more water and then I needed to make the clouds/ northern lights, a little more cloud like flairs. Finally, a small ‘TO’ was going to be added to the center between the moon reflections. I was busy until the deadline with this project and then the night before it was due I felt I had a little time available to try out this idea. I painted for a couple hours that night. Then I put in a couple small touch up sessions, but I really felt I couldn’t put it out there without a little more work. So… I don’t know if they do this sale yearly, but I hope they do. I not only want to pay them back for the canvas I took. (They were giving them out) But I want to paint a few with my new style. Although I have not tried it out yet. I believe I have some ideas up my sleeve to really make this a good winter of painting.
