Praise the Lord!!!

I’m a very cynical. I wish I wasn’t a lot of times but the world gives me so many reasons to be. Jesus continues to encourage me to love, even my enemies. He has loved me through some dark dark times. In seasons that didn’t seem to end he stayed there with me. I don’t know how to say Jesus is awesome in a way that a cynic won’t quickly write off. I want to try. It’s so hard to see through all the fake sometimes and even ‘christians’ give us a lot of reasons to doubt. The Bible is easy to misunderstand and the teachers rarely know all they would like to. It’s easy to be cynical and I hear it in my own voice often. So, when I say Jesus is Awesome, I hear fake. I hear a child that knows nothing of war. I question if they can be Job or not. I think, ‘easy to say in the spring, can you do it in the winter?’ Jesus is Awesome sounds so cliche and open to criticism to me. I was raised with the myth and the suffering and I don’t always like it. But, fuck it, Hallelujah, Jesus is Awesome!! He really is!! I suck, the world sucks, time sometimes sucks, but He is absolutely the light in the darkness. MARANATHA, May the day His coming be soon!
